It may depend on body color. Our 46 super deluxe is black with black wheels and the pinstripes are red.

'46 was the "year of the red" for Ford trim. Unique and really classy.

According to the Early Ford Club book on 41 to 48 cars if your 46 is black or the 2 shades of gray listed your wheel stripe color is Vermillion. For the rest of the colors listed Tacoma Cream would be the color of the stripe.

I had a black 48 Mercury that had Tacoma cream stripe on the wheels and I think my 46 Ford has Red stripes (Vermillion)
