who sells the best wiring harnesses and what do they run?
 

not looking for show car results- have 3-4 cars to wire and am looking for an
easy harness to install.

Maybe pay someone local to give me a hand with the first and do the rest myself?

I use brattons,
They fit great even at the headlights using their connectors

There is only one source that is worth your time and money. Tyree Harris in Bumpass, Virginia. His service is second to none. 804-556-5200. Don't buy the Chinese wiring from the vendors. I have bought the crap the big vendors sell from Model A to early V8. Never again unless it's my only option other than to sell the car. What they sell they should be ashamed of.

You'll have to call Tyree for prices. As for me, I don't shop his wiring harness against the big vendors. If it cost a little more it is worth it for me.

Excellent Model harnesses are made in Bend Oregon. Who markets them.....I don't know. Went through their plant when the MAFCA meet was held down there.

I agree with "senior member" Bill Williamson......Sacramento Vintage Ford sells very good wiring harnesses. They make them themselves in the back of their store. They make a regular wiring harness and a heavier gauge harness they call heavy duty or something like that.

TYree Harris has made some wireing harness, for me..One is on my 1930 Henry Award Coupe housed at "The Model A Museum".. TYree is the specialist in wireing harness...Totally Correct..Contact. Him for excellence...Jay

What does a Model A harness run generally? I may end up rewiring my front end after I take out the radiator.

Just call and have them physically confirm its in stock. Sacramento Vintage is notoriously out of stock in everything. I purchased mine from Brattons and was more than pleased with their product. I only live 2hrs from SVF and would go with out before I supported them

I am not aware of anyone selling a complete kit. You have to buy several harnesses to do the whole car. Lighting/horn set, generator wire, dash to firewall, cowl light cross over for examples.
The lighting/horn harnesses runs about $68 from Brattons.

Bauer Electronics, formerly located in New Ulm, Minnesota and now located in Bend, Oregon has been making top quality machine-wound wire looms to factory colors and patterns for many makes and years of cars for a long, long time. Here is a link to their website and a list of their vendors who sell their products. I have condensed the list to names only but their contact info is on the Bauer website. These listed vendors also sell other wire looms than the Bauer ones but I have seen the operation when it was in New Ulm and you can't tell them from original.
