Sarah was feeling kind'a poorly today Made a longer than usual trip today, most all on film, which I'll work on later. Bits and pieces and I'll need to edit out the lady friends, they all want to stay incognito ;).
Sarah was fine until she got warmed up a bit and she would sometimes do a chug after getting in 3rd gear between 20/30 from a stop but after she got up to 35 onward she was fine. Also noticed at my last stop, I let her sit for about ten minutes and I didn't turn the gas off. When I went out to leave, I smelled gas and checked under the hood, carb was dripping quite a bit. After this Tilly gets swapped out with the Zenith I have, that might take care of that problem. What was more serious though, Sarah's gas gauge hasn't been all the reliable, it always registered a third of a tank less but recently it's showing E when the tank has 9 gals inside.....so I made a dip stick and marked it after filling it up to 9.5 gallons. At the turn around spot, about 50 miles, I checked it with my dip-stick only to find I only had about 2 gals left!!!!!!! That means I was getting less than 10 MPG. Gas stations are not that close between each other and I hoped to have enough to get me back to Grafton. I did, got out, took the cap off, put in the stick and it register the same as before, went in, paid 6 bucks and went out to put it in, only to fine the gas nozzle wouldn't go down inside the tank, took it out and got higher and looked down inside and what did I see...................the damn spark arrestor screen...... Took it out and put the dip stick back in and I had only used about four gallons for a trip of about 70 miles to that point...........so you might say the dip-stick made a dip-shit out of me.!!!!!!!!!!:o I'll get all the bugs out of Sarah's teeth tomorrow........... ;) |
Re: Sarah was feeling kind'a poorly today Time to take the braces of her teeth and treat her like an adult.

If she was a M-1 Abrams or a M110 Howitzer I would but, even a M4 Sherman isn't put through today what it use to do back then. |
