37 floor pictures I am replacing the floor mat in my Cabriolet because the old one is a poor fit and I think the shifter boot is not right. Also, Was there a mat that extended past the front edge of the seat in a coupe or cabriolet? Mine is bare metal.
Any pics you can offer are much appreciated. |

Here's a couple of photos of the correct mat for a '37 cabriolet. No boot was used on the shift lever housing.
Originally there were separate floor mats for behind the front seat and in front of the bottom rumble seat cushion. Unfortunately I don't have photos of those in this computer or likely elsewhere. I can take some, but it will take some if you wish. It may take several weeks. |
Re: 37 floor pictures Thank you David. I thought there should be rear mats but have had no luck finding them. Where did you get yours?
|
Re: 37 floor pictures A few of the rear mats were reproduced years ago, but I'm reasonably sure that no one is making them at present. All of the mats in my car are the originals. I repaired them using pieces from the remnants of a standard Tudor rear mat and then they were painted with SEM in the original Benton Gray color.

Re: 37 floor pictures They look great. I will see what I can do with using the mat I am removing. Maybe I could order a rear mat for a sedan and cut it up? My car is driver quality.

Re: 37 floor pictures If they are available, it might take two of the sedan rear mats to make up the two mats that you need.

Re: 37 floor pictures Lebaron bonney and a couple others I checked do not have reproduction rear mats. Looks like I am on my own here. Will probably order another front mat and see what I can do.
