MORE From the Christchurch Collection!! 4 Attachment(s)
One of the most interesting cars there is the 1932 Phaeton. I'm pretty sure this is the car featured a few years ago in the V8 Times. It came from Nepal. It was a Prince's or High Commissioner's personal vehicle. Found and restored.Eventually finding it's way to the USA.Well, it's ended up here!!!.We have it on good authority it is that car!! Right hand drive, and unusual number plates etc. I'm sure someone here can elaborate further. I do stand to be corrected if my information is wrong.

Regarding the 1932 Ford Phaeton, are there Seams on Tub section (on either side from top to bottom) or is it smooth. The above photo is of an American Body 1932 Ford Phaeton, and shows these seams. The Australian assembled 1932 Ford Phaetons were completely smooth in this area. That is the easiest way to tell if the car has the American Body, or the Australian Body. I believe that the car from Nepal had the American body? |
