do the changeover quite often, use a master cylinder for a 68/72 ford F100 for drum brakes. make a flatplate adapter to bolt the two bolt mc to the original 3 bolt brake pedal bracket

Also the 67 mustang master cylinders are commonly used. They are available in Disc/Drum and Drum/Drum versions.

I used a master cylinder from an early 70's Ford Torino. Probably the same as the F100 mentioned above. Drum/ drum worked perfectly. Had residual pressure valved fitted in the master cylinder.

All of these master cylinders look very similar and are used on multiple years and models! The mustang ones are 1 inch bore not sure about the other ones. Need to really pay attention when you are getting the master cylinder, some are for power brakes and some Disc/Drum, etc. Just be sure you are getting what you want (non-power Drum/Drum).

I would keep it all original, I have owned tons of these trucks and they all had the stock brake systems, never had a problem with all drum.If properly adjusted and good quality shoes it will work for everyday driving.

Think he is keeping it all drum, just a dual master cyl.
