3 Speed Transmission in 78 series gearbox with 39 and later synchros

Anybody have any information on how to disassemble and repair a 3 speed toploader transmission. It's in a 78 series gearbox and has the 39 and later synchros. Recently purchased from Iola and looking to clean out and rebuild. Going to be put into a 1947 Super Deluxe.

Buy Mac VP's book before you even put a wrench to that trans. It's the bible of Ford 3 speeds.

I have rebuilt three. But I would have been in trouble with out Mac's book. A life saver. And he has all the parts you may need.

Also a plug for Mac's guide. Used it in my rebuild.
