1954 and earlier works for Model A stuff! Thanks! |
Re: 62nd Long Beach Swap Meet July 23 How many Model A vendors last year? Wayne

Re: 62nd Long Beach Swap Meet July 23 Thanks for posting the reminder. There were many A parts and sellers last year. One of the best in So Cal along with the San Fernando Swap Meet in August, and our Swap Meet (San Bernardino) in September.

Re: 62nd Long Beach Swap Meet July 23 You guys are making me jealous!!!
I started going to the Long Beach Model T Club swap meet at Hamilton Bowl when I was a kid. I would run behind the Model T tank truck that would sprinkle water to keep the dust down. That was probably the last two or three years at the famous "dust bowl". Then it moved to the Cal State Long Beach parking lot where it resided for a number of years and later to Veteran's Stadium off of Lakewood Blvd. I basically got started in this business when I was just a kid because of this event. I joined the LBMTC when I was about 16 years old and was building my first speedster. I was a member for probably 10 years or so. I haven' t been to the swap meet in the last several years but I think about it all the time and it brings back lots of great memories. It is great that the Long Beach Model T Club keeps this important automotive tradition alive. Happy Hunting to all of you and please post photos. In Rust we Trust! |
