Re: Let's talk washers. MAYTAG man not invited. The aviation industry solved this problem years ago. First install a plain washer to protect the item being bolted. Then install a castellated nut and torque to specs. Then install a cotter pin.
Come to think about it------Ole Henry used castellated nuts and cotter pins on his model T's. |
