Very interesting. Thanks for the post. Pack of 20 for 3/8" is about $22

The shock mounts in my AV8 keep loosening up. I might have to get some of those.

The aviation industry solved this problem years ago. First install a plain washer to protect the item being bolted. Then install a castellated nut and torque to specs. Then install a cotter pin.

Come to think about it------Ole Henry used castellated nuts and cotter pins on his model T's.

This would be why Caterpillar don't use spring washers.
