Are there body panels that cover this opening just behind the cab between the pickup body and running boards ??

This is an old pic of mine, best I could find to show the area . The previous owner bent up some sheet and that's about all it is..

They are available aftermarket. OEM ones that are decent I have not seen for a while.

They are called lower bed sides. MACS in NY handles them, about $40 ea.

i bought mine from the company in Missouri, i think it`s called Macks. they fit real well.
