Great find, I think the letters are just a serial #, now you need to but a boat to go along with it.

Looks like a later Model B engine

They were still building them in England into the 1940's

Is there a date on the front of the cylinder head? I have a few from 1942 .

It has the late English Model B Distributor on it

Have not found any date, more exactly where do you found it? any pics.
Can you tell me more about distributor difference would be interesting to know!
