Numbers?

After removing the intake on a V8 60 motor I noticed these numbers stamped on the block. What do they mean? Were they put there by Ford or were they done after by some remanufacture? Maybe someone could shed some light on this.

Re: Numbers?

They may be some type of date code as to when the block was assembled as an engine.
A search of "Engine Date Codes" reveals this:

Re: Numbers?

It may have been a replacement engine at one point in time and the vehicle serial numbers were stamped?? So if so they could have been stamped by a dealer or a independent repair agent. They were not stamped by the Ford factory.
