Re: Brakes

I am not familiar with Bob Drakes kit,but I have MT Car Lincoln style front brakes on 2 cars. I had to grind the top of spindles to clear the wheel cylinder and then they were bolt on.
They are great brakes and well worth doing.

I also installed the MT Products complete brake kit on all 4 wheels. No problems. The brakes come in two sizes: 1 3/4 in. wide and 2 in. wide. I bought the 2 in. kit for better stopping power. Also had to grind the top of the front spindle for fitment for the Lincoln backing plate. Made a paper template as a grinding guide. Use your OEM rear wheel bearings if possible as they are better quality than the new China stuff. I also had to cut down the size of the Lincoln E-Brake cable parts to match the 40 OEM.
