Generator output With the installation of a powerhouse generator, can you expect to run more accessories, upgraded head lights, or driving lights etc?

Re: Generator output I don't think so. I have one on my 1928 Tudor and it seems to be the same output as most period dynamos. It's just the name that sounds impressive!

Re: Generator output Is the powerhouse adjustable like the 3-brush type?
|
Re: Generator output Yes, it has a sliding third brush on the brush ring. Loosen the screw and move the brush down to increase amps.

Re: Generator output The 5 brush powerhouse and 3 brush powerhouse both have a safe output of 15 amps, while the long generator has a safe output of 12 amps. All 3 do their job well for a normal Model A. If you want to run high amp parts, then you need to change to a later fan cooled generator, which is good for about 35 amps, or switch to an alternator.
