Generator output

With the installation of a powerhouse generator, can you expect to run more accessories, upgraded head lights, or driving lights etc?

I don't think so. I have one on my 1928 Tudor and it seems to be the same output as most period dynamos. It's just the name that sounds impressive!

Is the powerhouse adjustable like the 3-brush type?

Re: Generator output

Yes, it has a sliding third brush on the brush ring. Loosen the screw and move the brush down to increase amps.

Re: Generator output

The 5 brush powerhouse and 3 brush powerhouse both have a safe output of 15 amps, while the long generator has a safe output of 12 amps. All 3 do their job well for a normal Model A. If you want to run high amp parts, then you need to change to a later fan cooled generator, which is good for about 35 amps, or switch to an alternator.
