Need Confirmation On Head Gasket Placement...

Copper type head gasket. Does the raised crimped edge side go towards the block and flat side go towards the head? thanks...

The larger water hole goes to the rear. The smaller water hole goes at the front. The crimp location is not important.

The crimp goes to the head. There is always a slight amount of movement between the head and block which will etch the gasket into the cast. It is easier to re-surface the head than the block to get rid of this.

Crimp side up. As James said above.

if you get a head gasket grove worn in the block you will wish you had listened to the other guys, not an easy task to get a block to the machinest to have the block surface trued
