Budd 82A cabs

Where were the Budd cabs made, was it in one place at the Rouge maybe, then shipped out as a complete cab or in a knock down kit then assembled at other plants around the country.

Thank you forever4, love the pictures of Budd plant. Having a 29 CCPU was very informative.

Interesting! Budd also supplied stamping for Studebaker.
I wonder what Budd supplied for WWII?

Budd set up a steal stamping plant in Germany as well, under the partnership name Ambi-Budd or Ambi Budd Presswerke (ABP).

They also made bodies for Ford in Germany including for the German Model A landaulet taxis and custom cabriolets:

During WWII, Ambi-Budd made parts for the German Focke Wulf fighters as well as bodies for German military VW Kübelwagen and Schwimmwagen. They also made jerrycans, helmets and field kitchens for the German military.

....so it seems like Budd was supporting both sides of the war effort....as was Ford!

Fordially,
