gearbox tops

I have been asked to do a gearbox updgrade and need to know if the earlier model top with the handbrake on the side will fit the later box with the handbrake on he side.Are there any other alterations needed to complete this change ?

The 2 tops, front mount and side mount emergency brake tops, are interchangeable.
