Re: Installation of female dovetail in 160B Bratton's #30920 female dovetail goes inside the Door Post, the male dovetail on the door slides into the female dovetail. I cannot figure out how to get it into the door post.

Re: Installation of female dovetail in 160B I tried looking up that number in Bratton's catalog and came up with nothing. Are you sure of the number? I was not aware of any wood in the 160 B door post.

Re: Installation of female dovetail in 160B the Bratton`s number is 30970 and there is NO wood on the inside of the 160 door posts. there some wood on the back side for the interior and wind lace to tack to.

Re: Installation of female dovetail in 160B The 30920 dovetail may be for the '30 and very early '31 with wood in doors/ jambs as stated. This part fits in the strike jamb post. The 160 B guide rubber bumper inserts look similar in appearance but slip in to the jamb strike post with pot metal looking parts with springs, etc. Perhaps the catalogue 30920 vehicle description isn't correct? The Slant window 160 B door bumper kit doesn't include a plate/ housing with 4 screws.. Perhaps that' s the confusion.

Re: Installation of female dovetail in 160B the 30920 is not for the SW it uses 30970. I have never seen a slant window four door like you are talking about. All of the SW four door bodies that have work on and seen. use the pot metal dove tail in the door post like Bratton`s has . and the dove tail holder pursay is part of the door post. and they are a real pain to replace, because you have to cut open the door post to do the repairs. I have one in here right now that I had to repair. there is also a rubber bumper set that bratton`s sells to.
