lowering the rear

Looking for about a 2" drop in the rear. Will removing every-other leaf in a stock 39' spring give me that?
Thanks

I needed 2"-3" drop on my '38 coupe. I just last week had a new main leaf made with reversed eyes and about a 3" less arch when compared to my original leaf. It did exactly what I needed and as a bonus I think it rides better. The shot below shows the stance with 8.20/ 15 tires rear and 6.40/15 front. I know there are several ways to skin a cat, and this was my way. Maybe someone can give you info about removing leaves (leafs?).

if you have access to a press, you just press it a bit every inch or so, and reverse the arch so the eyes are on top. its easy, free, and works. google it up on the hamb for a more detailed story, or pm me, skip

Looks like you got it right. Thanks for the info.
