'40 coupe - start - up when i try to start engine.......after cranking a couple of turns.......engine bucks
hard and stops but is ready to try again. I thing engine is too far advanced. which direction of the adjustment is retard and advance? comments? thank you fordman |

Re: '40 coupe - start - up The points plate needs to be rotated anti clockwise, as viewed from the front of the motor. If a divers helmet type dizzy, the adjuster needs to be moved down. If a crab type, the adjuster needs to be moved up.
