My good fortune: Saw this 33 Ford Phaeton at Griffith Park today.

About a year ago I was at Griffith park and met a gentleman, who was driving a 1933 Ford phaeton. He was 79 years old and he and I share the same first name. I misplaced his phone number and lost touch with him.
I returned to Griffith Park today, but was in an entirely different area (the park is huge) and low and behold he drove up and parked nearby.
He drives to different parts of the park, several times each week to get an hours worth of exercise.
He owns other antique cars, including a 29 and a 31 Ford mail truck, but this 33 Ford is his favorite.
He took me for a short ride.
When he left he said that it was obvious that God had arranged for the 2 of us to meet again. I could not disagree.
I thought I would share my good fortune.
Neil

Great pictures Neil.

At least the engine picture is right side up. I guess that is so that the oil doesn't drain down into the cylinders. :D

If it's an IPhone, the volume buttons go on the bottom. Picasa3 is a app that will convert them right side up. Some times I still post them upside down..

I love that 33 Phaeton. I would trade 3 or more of my Model As for a 33-34 roadster or phaeton.

Neil, Thanks for then pics! I've been to Griffith Park only once in my life and enjoyed it immensely. Especially the planetarium where they shot the James Dean movie, "Rebel Without a Cause". You're right, the place is huge!

Nice comments.
I always enjoy everyone's sense of humor.

Richard, thank you for turning the pictures around.

G&N Farms, no my phone is an android.

Terry, The movie, The Rocketeer was filmed at the Observatory too. I would like to get a picture of my Model A in front of the Observatory, but the guy at the gate said they don't allow it.
