Model A Tool Box ALL: For those interested, Mike's A-Fordable has their Model A Tool Box on special for this weekend for $20 off the regular price. It must be ordered this weekend, as this is their "Wacky Weekly Special" - [email protected]. I am not in their employ, and merely pass this along for those who might desire one.

Re: Model A Tool Box Hi Marcus,
Thanks for your sincere kindness in trying to help others. |
Re: Model A Tool Box I purchased two from Mikes and returned them as I was not satisfied with the quality. You be the judge. Wayne

Re: Model A Tool Box I use to get their weekly eMails for this stuff, but I don't anymore.
That's a nice tool box and I may get one someday. I really wish they would powder coat it though, I've seen them after they have been installed a while and the paint really "grey's out". |
Re: Model A Tool Box I've thought about getting one for my '29 roadster. But, the box will
prevent use of the handcrank if needed. Yikes....! I have to always have that ability, heck it's a Model-A Ford. Bob-A:D |
Re: Model A Tool Box I've crank started mine one time in 6 years. It was in my garage at home and I just wanted to see if I could.

Re: Model A Tool Box I have had mine for about 10 yrs now ( from the original designer/builder) and what I did was cut a round hole about 2 in. in dia. in the back in line with crank and made a stepped plug for it that holds in with a button head screw and washer on the inside. I turn the crank with a shaft that is just like the end of the crank with a I/2 drive socket on the end of it. I then can turn the engine over with a ratchet. Works great. ED

Re: Model A Tool Box Ed Thibodeau,
Are you able to "handcrank" it, start the car up, with the ratchet? Bob-A:D |
