Saw one car that had it and after he had a flat, it was a nasty mess. Said he put it in because of a slow leak. It fixed that but after he hit a nail it didn't fix that.

You'll have major balance issues

Re: tube

3 OR 4 oz. of antifreeze (coolant) in the tubes or tires will stop those slow leaks and not make a mess of things in the future

". . . 4 oz. of antifreeze (coolant) in the tubes . . . "
_________

Interesting . . . . and novel.

And I suppose it does keep the air from freezing as well !

Are the ones A&L sell any good?

Re: tube

I have had the A&L tubes on our Town Sedan for about a year - They even passed Judging at the Niagara Falls Meets. They installed the medal valve stems for me. We have had no problems with them

Snyder's and Bratton's tubes are the same. They went in together to have them made.

Re: tube

I have never put the slime in a tube but did put it in a lawn tractor tubless tire. In this case it did not work for me so I bought a tube and when I broke the tire down to install the tube the wheel was very rusty inside. The slime is water base and really caused the wheel to rust. It was a pain to clean up the wheel and paint it before putting the tube in and the tire back on, Never again will I use anything like that.

Re: tube

I bought tubes (rubber stem) from macs 5 years ago and have had no problems yet.
As far as green slime use... I've not used it in my A tires but used it in lots of others. The trick is to use much less than the directions call for, then drive right away. The slime will eventually dry to just a coating inside the tube or tire if it's tubeless. I've had great luck with it for slow leakers and never had issues with rusty rims.
