Universal joint grease

Im putting our model a back together today. I have read all the articles on using cornhead grease for the universal joint. My problem is my JD dealer within 100 miles is closed today and I got to have this done by Monday . I have a tractor supply house and a napa close buy , what would be close to the corn head grease that I could use and find at these stores Thanks Billy

Cv joint lube should work

I use Mystik JT-6, but if you can't find that or would like a grease more like the soft cornhead grease, then try front CV axle grease from NAPA. It probably comes in small packets and you may need to buy a few to fill the cavity.

Any modern grease suitable for wheel bearings will do. I have been using synthetic grease exclusively.

Hmmm, don't think this is a place for JT-6. Its a high temp grease that doesn't flow, so the u-joint will dig a 'tunnel' through the grease and then run without being lubed. The corn picker grease, like CV joint grease, will 'flow' and stay in contact with the joint, but is thick enough to not run out.
