Floorboard? Is there anything better to use instead of that two piece felt and cover plate by the steering column?

Re: Floorboard? Not sure if this is "better", but this is what my car uses

I happen to have both on hand, here's some pics http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c0b8a55e59.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...32ab26fd62.jpg They're not a perfect match but real close, hope the pics help. My car is an early 28, I tried the steel and it would need a little tweaking to fit, not sure how the early 28 rubber would fit a 29 Looking for the front bumper emblem that has "Ford, Made In Canada" |
Re: Floorboard? $73 is kind of rich...don't you think?

Re: Floorboard? I have for a long time considered, but have not done, a modification to the pedals like the later cars had, with a small flange on the pedal, under the floorboard, that seals the hole when the pedal is up. My 40 ford had that feature.

Re: Floorboard? The early style is 28 with the left hand emergency brake. The later style is mid 28 - 29. What's the production date on your firewall? It's on the drivers side near the lower flange.
The first one was used until Nov. 28. U.S. Canadian may have been longer. Buy a copy of the Judging standards. It's a huge help. (But at times can be confusing.)!!!LOL John Poole |
Re: Floorboard? I think all the venders sell only one felt, that will fit some model A`s but not all. I think Ford made more then one size, they do NOT fit the Victoria`s a 400`s or slant window 68C ,so I bought some of the correct size felt from Amazon.com and made my own that fits.
