This is the Tailgate on a 1950 Mercury Woody. I don't know if it differs from the Fords?

This 1951 Ford Country Squire wagon was imported from Canada a number of years back. As you can see from the photos, the exterior is nearly finished, but the interior is a work in progress. Not sure about the finish on the inside of the Tailgate, but it looks to be finished? What makes this 51 Ford Woody different from the other Woodys, is that it has a 1951 dash in it. The owner wanted the car converted to right hand drive, and had both a 1949 RHD dash, as well as a 1951 RHD Dash. As the Dash had to be reduced in size to fit the Woody body style, the owner thought that he would use the 1951 Dash in the conversion. This Dash was never available in any 1951 Ford Woodys. this is one of very few 1949-1951 Ford Woodys in Australia.
