Voltage Test on 6 Volt Battery OK, I need to test my NAPA 6 volt battery which I just charged. I've got 3 meters that all work but they do not have a 6 volt test setting. I'm so embarrassed, please tell me what to set the meter dial to and how to proceed. As I've previously said I'm really electrically challenged. After the voltage test I will use the hydrometer to check the cells, the tester is glass and has a compensating thermometer float ........

Re: Voltage Test on 6 Volt Battery In general, set the voltmeter to nearest voltage above what you're attempting to measure, e.g. to measure 6V, set it to 10v or 20v would better than 100v.An analog meter is better than a digital one... Even a cheap analog meter
