front turn signals

I would like to add front turn signals to my 30 pickup, any ideas of traditional
looking lights. I don't like anything new looking. Thanks Joe

How about cowl lights with the buckets painted black to match your headlight shells. Another choice might be traditional driving lights or fog lights bolted to the front bumper. I have a '31 RDPU and look forward to reading what people suggest (I currently don't have turn signals on my truck and would also like to add them).

You could use the cowls as mentioned as well as the park lights depending on what headlights you have. You could change the headlights if need be.
I use both the park and cowls, I don't care for the looks of the 'add-on's'.

i chose to wire my parking lamp in the headlight and replaced the bulb with an amber one. so my head lights flash. here a video of what it looks like. the color doesnt show in the video but looks very orange in person https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfu9EfRDcqY

I have a pair of SMALL chrome accessory lights. Thought of mounting them on the "A" post, below the door hinge, for better visibility. If they looked FUNNY, I could paint them body color.

I used the beehive marker lamps from NAPA. They only cost around $7 and have a traditional look to them. Take the 12 volt bulbs out and put the 6 volt stoplight bulb in.
The come in red and amber.

On my 29 pickup I use the cowl lights. I then added a second tail light for the rear lights. The right hand bracket is available at Snyders along withe wood block. Wayne

I was looking to do the same. I ended up using vintage Kawasaki 1000 handlebar mounted marker lights and mounted them on the headlight bar. Swapped the bulbs for 6V dual filament bulbs so I'd have parking and directionals. Here's a picture. Tim

I thought I remembered seeing model A front bumper clamps somewhere on the Barn that had an amber LED mounted in the center of it. Not sure where I saw it but it looked cool.

I have an old pair of chrome beehive marker lights w/the eyebrow on them. I plan to put them on the headlight bar, between the headlight and the fender, with a twist in the bracket so that they sit horizontal.
Similar to these ones:

that's only true on moderns with the headlight off. The headlight you see turning off is actually a daytime running light (drl) that turns off when the turn signal is on. With its headlights on they don't turn off.

My dad used early VW Beetle fender lights on his second Model A (~1961), which reminded him very much of the fender lights (on both front and rear fenders) that his first Model A came with ~1939. Here they are. I guess in those days, drilling holes in your fenders was no big deal.
