Anyone know where to get a 312 Crank for my wife?
 

My wife got her father's Thunderbird 2 years ago. She was very excited but as it goes with old cars it has been an uphill battle. Trans rebuilt, cracked flexplate, suspension/brakes........etc.

Had to pull the engine for a rebuild since the blow-by was so bad it was pushing the dipstick up out of the tube. Now with the crank out we have a 1 inch crack and since it is cast repair is not an option.

The 312 crank only fits a 312.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously, find a 292 block and have the mains ground?

Last I heard, a year ago on yblocksforever, the proposed scat 312 crank was to be 292 mains.

"Cast Iron" Mike at Cast Iron Repair Services In Marysville Washington just repaired my unrepairable 406 block. The Block is now at Barry Robotnics shop at Survival Motorsports and he said mike did a good job. He can repair anything cast iron.

Sold one last year to a guy in New Zealand. Must be hard to find down there as he paid almost $500 just in shipping. Good luck, hope you find one.
