Not Model A I also do some woodworking as a hobby and was wondering if any of you that do this belong to any type of woodworking forum and if so what's your preference.
In the meantime what would be the equivalent grit of 0000steel wool? Sewall |
Re: Not Model A Some of the "Scotch-brite" sheets do a good job, and they don't shed the metal shavings that could promote rust or become a dis-similar metal situation leading to corrosion. They are colored to indicate coarseness or abrasiveness.

0000 steel wool pads are the finest commercially available pads there are. I have never seen an abrasive comparison, But I would guess 600 grit paper. Maybe higher. Why do you ask about the 0000? larry |

Re: Not Model A Thanks Larry and Sea Slugs. Larry I've used 0000 for a long time and got curious. For what do it works well. Sea Slugs that forum looks good. They put a real nice magazine.
