39 deluxe steering box capacity
 

Hi

I removed the plug and added 1/2 a bottle stp. Curious how much the box holds?

Fill it till you can see it. I filled mine with John Deere Corn Head grease.

The filler is the level plug.

Andy, do like Ken says. I have used STP in the past however, I just recently rebuilt the steering box in the '39 CS and used Corn Head Grease.

Thanks Vic I already filled with stp. It took half a bottle. I was wondering if (half bottle) meant it was dry.

I will try corn grease next time. I already have a tube and plan to use in the zert for greasing rear spring

Andy, I use Corn Head grease for lubrication on my Flatheads. :)
