Passing gas No, I'm not talking that kind of gas. I called the Passing Gas Carburetor Rebuild place and they are apparently out of business.
Is the Rex Rehies (sp) book advertised in the Model A News any good? I'd like to take a crack at rebuilding my Zenith myself. |

Re: Passing gas I think if you use the article Ray mentioned above and buy a lot of new parts for your carb from one of the recommended vendors, you could do a reasonably good job on your carb. Also you can get a lot of good advise from this site. And may be a good idea to buy a "junker carb" from somewhere to "practice" on. This gives you a backup.

Re: Passing gas Is that the place in bucks county. Pa near me???
Yes rebuild it yourself, they don't get any simpler.. Also use this site as a guide if you need it.. http://www.modela.org |
Re: Passing gas Our club library has the carb book written by Steve Pargetter, and I think it's a very good book.

Re: Passing gas For what it's worth, I just changed all the jets in my carb to a flow-tested set from Renner's Corner, and my car runs much better. I was not expecting to be able to notice the difference, but I was pleasantly surprised. The previous jets were out of a typical rebuild kit from one of the better vendors you hear about here on FB

Re: Passing gas I have the Rex Reheis book and have found it to be very useful, and it also has complete information on rebuilding Model B carbs.
