Original door handle need key Is there a good place to send an original (1930 Tudor) door handle to have a key made? I don't see any numbers on the shaft. Thanks for any leads:)

Re: Original door handle need key Try A & L. Their contact is on a sticky above. Usually you don't need to send the handle. Their work is the finest.

Re: Original door handle need key 1 Attachment(s)
May I hitch a ride on this thread? I have the same problem on my car, a 'May '28 Tudor. I am assuming that the handle is original. I have looked at the blanks on the Model A suppliers' websites and they say their blanks are for "late '28" and newer cars. I also noticed that some of the blanks shown are opposite to each other. At about $14 they are not inexpensive enough to buy one of each and try them. Any ideas?
Thanks. P.s. the photo somehow was sent upsidedown. |

Keys until March 1928 had a FORD script none thereafter. They only sell original looking keys used after March 1928 If you have the Judging Standards check area 6-4 .. |
Re: Original door handle need key ModAfan your handle looks to be an original with the non removable cylinder . your key number should be on the shaft.

Re: Original door handle need key Any good locksmith can make a key for it even without numbers, mine did. Works fine.

Bob Bob, he restored a pop-out for one of our club members about 6 weeks ago. |
Re: Original door handle need key I have used Dick Crabtree, (605) 487-7229 or (281) 615-2261 [email protected]
Dick has done my Model A and Early V-8 lock work for years. He is very knowledgeable and his work is outstanding. Very fast turn-around time and reasonably priced. He also does a great job on Pop-Out Ignition Switches. He will key the door lock to fit the ignition as it should be. This is my opinion and experience. Chris W. |
Re: Original door handle need key Besides A & L, The Keyman, made one for me via a photograph. Cost for two keys shipped was $ 51 dollars. Wayne
