36 horn button
 

Does anyone know of a source for a replacement chrome horn button retainer ring for a 36? Mine is not good enough to rechrome.

Check with "35fordtn" on this. He may have, or possibly know where you could get one.

I have complete '35/'36 horn button/light switch rod assemblies in very nice condition that could be for sale, BUT, there is no way I would remove and sell just the small ring that holds the horn button in place. Also, there is a good chance the small tabs, holding that ring in place, would break off if you try to remove the ring from an original assembly and attempt to recrimp those tabs. Don't ask me how I know about this :).

Robert...I believe I have a spare rechromed ring. pm me on Fordbarn or email me at
[email protected] and if you have not found another I will go check. As JM posted above the tabs can be an issue and I would have to check the tabs. My biggest problem with reassembling them is I do not have enough hands to hold the button down against the spring while recrimping the tabs.

Well okay. There's another issue fixed. This time in about 12 hours.
