Accessories Has anyone seen the accessory headlights called "wood lites" ? They were introduced in 1929 but apparently the company went out of business shortly after they were introduced. I was reading about them but love to see what they look like.

Re: Accessories Don,
Type the word "woodlites" in the "Search This fourm" box. Pluck |
Re: Accessories  When you will see them and what they look like ,,then you would know why they went out of Business in a short time.

Re: Accessories They were generally used on big cars of the era, 1929/30 Cord L29s come to mind. A very narrow vertical beam as I remember. Pete is right, not particularly appealing.

Re: Accessories I had a chance to buy a pair of them at an antique shop in S.D. about 20 years ago. Had I known more about them I probably would have bought them, but they were pretty ugly.

Re: Accessories Steve >>>>>>>>>>>>>????????????? do i need to ask [ was it in the mail]:)

Re: Accessories They were standard equipment on an obscure auto called the Ruxton, a high dollar car that also had a short run. They are classy looking art-deco lights, but quite worthless if you actually needed to see where you were going. They would look WAY out of place on an "A".
