Weight of 1949-53 Merc Crank

Anyone know the weight of the 49-53 Mercury 4 inch crank. I have a standard one that I may have to ship. Thanks
Chuck

Lay it on your bathroom scale, but don't tell your wife about doing that ;)

Just weighed a fresh ground one and it's 56lb.-13.6oz.
Probably you're within +/- a pound considering how much material has or hasn't ben removed for balancing.
Now if you could only squeeze it into a one price priority mail box:rolleyes:

Well, considering that crankshafts squirm around and get all out of shape when laid flat on the floor, maybe you can just stand it on end in a flat rate box and it will just ooze on down to fit into the box after a few years!

Or tell the customer you had to shop it into 3 pieces to make it fit the flatrate boxes..lol
