Stalls New to me 1930 Model A. Cleaned and set the points. New plugs. New good gas. Set the timing by the book. Ran like a new one. After a few miles it started to miss then died. Strange thing she had been running at 170 deg. then droped to nere 0 when it died. Could not find anything wrong. Got it started again and she ran fine. A few more miles and started to miss and felt like three cylinders. Again temp dropped to 0.
Any ideas? |
Re: Stalls You posted this in the "To the Editors" section that nobody reads. Post again in the main forum. I can't explain the temperature but the other symptom might be that you have a non vented (or plugged) gas cap. Do you hear a little sucking if you take the cap off right after it dies? Does it start back up right away when you take the cap off?

Re: Stalls Yeh well, this is my first Model A and my first time here and my first time using a computer. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Oh, and thanks.
