30-31 cowl differences
 

Are the 30-31 coupe cowls the same as the 30-31 2door/pickup cowls. If not, what are the differences?

Pillar height is different
Don't have exact measurements
Believe the coupe is 1" shorter but not exact

thats correct
the coupe is 3 in from the top of the hinge
and the tudor is 4 in from the top of the hinge to the top of the pillar

Can I effectively modify a pu cowl to fit a coupe?

I took a coupe cowl and added 1" or so (I forget) to the post height for my pickup. So yea, you can do it. The visor holes need to be moved.

I believe the height is the same. The top hinge is just higher on the coupe. All straight windshield closed cars use the same size windshield, header and visor.If you stand a coupe door against a wall it will be as high as a tudor/pickup door. The fordor door is shorter but that's because it doesn't have a flange at the bottom.

i have both a 30 tudor and a 30 coupe
in addition to the above posted figures i posted above

dimensions on a coupe door
27 3/4 wide at the belt
43 in tall
from the bottom of the door to the TOP of the lower hinge 10 in
from the bottom of the door to the top of the middle hinge 22 1/2 in
from the bottom of the door to the top of the upper hinge 40 inches
the hinges measure exactly the same on both doors

dimensions on the tudor door
29 1/4 wide at the belt
44 in tall

so a tudor door is both taller and wider than a coupe
makes it easier to get in the rear seat
