hey guys, my buddy busted the center main cap on his 59a block, and i have extra caps from 8ba blocks.
will they interchange ?

Try it, you need to check for any ridge with the cap torqued in place. Then check the clearances with the crank and bearings in place.

its my buddys engine, ill give him the cap and let him give it a try.
just wanted to check and see if it would even fit or not..
im sure someone here would know for sure ...

On later blocks that is easily done because you can remove some material from the cap and then line bore and hone back to the original size. It is not as easy with a flathead because of the configuration of the caps. It is often possible to find a cap that will check ok without machine work. I would at least look for one that required only a minor honing.
