Maintaining Aluminum Heads and Intake Any suggestions on maintaining aluminum heads and intake on a flathead.
I'd like to be able to keep them looking fresh like this great example, but also drive the car. http://cdn.barrett-jackson.com/stagi...Engine_Web.jpg I'd like to hear some tried and true methods, if there are any. Thanks, Neal |

Re: Maintaining Aluminum Heads and Intake I'm going to try some clear ceramic coatings on some aluminum parts - polished in my case. I'm looking for something that can take the heat, is strong and won't yellow - this may be the trick. I'll report back once I get some done (couple weeks).

Re: Maintaining Aluminum Heads and Intake Gliptone has some good een stuff that works wonders. Cold intake and heads, spray it on, let it sit, hose it off. Www.gliptone.com

Re: Maintaining Aluminum Heads and Intake Neal, those heads and intake look coated/painted to me. Still, they're really clean. Keeping them "clean" will be easier than maintaining the oxidization of aluminum I'd assume.
