After market intake question

1 Attachment(s)
I picked up some A speed speed equipment that included a dual aluminum intake with the name Leon Duray prods embossed on it. I can't tell it it can be an updraft or downdraft with adapters depending on the carb used.

Anyone out there hear of this intake? In researching I only find articles on Leon Duray the race driver but nothing about any parts he was involved in developing.

A quick google search references an iron head by Duray

I believe it is an updraft. Hold it up to an exhaust manifold and I think it will be obvious. Ron W

I never thought about what else Leon Duray did except race. The other drivers of his caliber were all brilliant engineers and mechanics in their own right.Tommy Milton was one,and Frank Lockhart was another. Those guys would drive a newly developed engine and tell the engine designer the cam timing was too soon or late.Louis,Gaston, and Arthur Chevrolet were all drivers that knew how engines should be built. They're the guys that got out the Miller/Scofield/Offenhauser heads for the T's and the the A's.Leon Duray was known as the man who could get to the finish line first,if you could get a piece of machinery to hold up under him.
