Re: What"s wrong here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Model-A...-/171968976150
Quite a few things wrong. • Split seat • Powerhouse generator • Don't know where the term "hardtop" comes in, there's no top in it at all. • Twin bugle horns • Don't know about floor rust, weren't floor boards made out of wood? • Probably more |
Re: What"s wrong here I am sure that I missed some.
Sept 1928 motor number CA51280 no grease fittings on front shackles side mount brackets home made upper cab rear quarter panel ????? 31 steering column mount with duct tape for security wrong horns wrong generator rumble seat cushions wrong deck lid handle wrong landau arms wrong!! front seats wrong bows for top??? body work installing side mount in left fender BAD I did not see any Robertson screws? |
Re: What"s wrong here Kind of a mess isn't it!
|
Re: What"s wrong here But..., It was in a barn!!
|
Re: What"s wrong here It looks like somebody's attempt at a 3 window coupe.Just what would those roof quarters come off from? Sedan parts grafted on?Are they even A at all?Probably wouldn't look so ugly if the landau irons were removed.

Re: What"s wrong here Is that grap bar an old accessory? I already have a hole in my dash at the lower mount. That would actually be kind of nice to have a grab bar similar to that to help my wife in.

Re: What"s wrong here Looks like it has the generator wire conduit also. That should not have been there in 1930 if I remember correctly. Rod

QUOTE=runnin hot;1176373]oval speedometer.......?[/QUOTE]
The oval speedometer was used until June of 1930, and could be in a vehicle assembled as much as 2 months after introduction of the round speedometer. RG&JS Page 7 paragraph " DEFINITION OF DATES AND BODY TYPES" |

Re: What"s wrong here What's with the front bumper 90 degrees off (horizontal)??? Twin teacup taillights, left AND right spare wells... As said, too much weird stuff.

Re: What"s wrong here Not an expert:rolleyes: but my expert opinion is that's a sedan roof...or part of one...weird.

Re: What"s wrong here Here's what's wrong...that interior takes me back to Mammasan's off base whore house

Re: What"s wrong here I think that it is a pretty good attempt at a three window Coupe. Now, did the person just unite the best parts of three bodies to get a viable "A" or is this the long lost Edsel Ford Sport Three Window Coupe?

Re: What"s wrong here there is this one in my area. roadster looks decent 10,500 https://saginaw.craigslist.org/cto/5253525451.html
