Re: Hershey 2015 Thanks for the pictures-loved seeing them. A friend of mine has one of those 34 Dodges, great looking cars.

Re: Hershey 2015 Thanks for the photos !!!!

Re: Hershey 2015 Thanks for posting Flop. The Rhino, I think, is a very expensive (and cool, not a criticism) "fantasy speedster" - did you see the Faultless bodied T Speedster near the Hyman tent?
The A-400 and green pick up were part of a group of cars from CT (along with a vickie and roadster '30-'31) - those guys always bring some great Model As. Picked up a few smalls - vintage jeweled shifter knob and replated instrument panel (not repro) and saw some of the A vendors we have bought from before. Some of the smaller dealers bring a lot of original stuff which is always nice. A great time, hope to extend the stay next year! |
Re: Hershey 2015 you are welcome guys !! always so much cool stuff to see out there!!
|
Re: Hershey 2015 I spoke with the owner of that green caddy speedster; he says it's a 400 cid four cylinder with a 4.5" bore. Must be a monster!
Did you guys see the chrome plated snow blower & root-tiller in the green field? |
Re: Hershey 2015 the Rhino is a chassis from an old firetruck-ALF
the A 400 was reasonable at 28k-needing some spiffing up............ |
Re: Hershey 2015 1 Attachment(s)
I always make a point to stop to look at Hyman Ltd's cars. Always some unusual cars, like the Rhino, to look at. The Faultless was my favorite, if only because for $48,500, it would require a lot of patience and elbow grease! I'd love to see what happens with that car. - Jason

Re: Hershey 2015 I saw that red 36 custom . Someone in Italy built it. The guys had it only a few days.
|
Re: Hershey 2015 I love the pictures, I wonder how much that roadster body was? See you next year.
|
Re: Hershey 2015 I think that body was $3800 but it sure needed some work, mostly inside, better to go with a Brookville body in my opinion. I think it was in the chocolate south field along the outside road. Great weather wasn't it.

Re: Hershey 2015 Thank you for all those terrific photos. Sorry I couldn't make it to Hershey this year. Maybe next year.

Re: Hershey 2015 Thanks a million for the pictures. They bring back memories.Sure wish I could have made it this year but maybe next year there will be a steelback victoria of my dreams there. Bill

Re: Hershey 2015 1 Attachment(s)
Here is what it could look like--but mine is not even restored--it is largely in original condition as my grandfather found it in 1954

Which do you feel would be better, ...a new Brookville body --or a professionally restored roadster body that is in final primer? Which is more valuable, --and why? . |
Re: Hershey 2015 I would prefer a professionally restored original, if the price were the same as a new Brookville. The Brookville is nice, but not 100% correct, and I can spot one. The original is, of course, original and correct.

Re: Hershey 2015 The blue roadster body was $4,750.00. I looked at it twice. Had a 513 area code on the sign and listed as "30-31 Model A Ford Roadster Body, Doors, Gas Tank, Dash Rail".

Re: Hershey 2015 I drooled over the Rhino speedster that is one I would love to own. I would love to even try and make one but have absolutely no clue where to begin. Outside of winning the lottery.

Re: Hershey 2015 The Italian bodied ford just sold at Dragone's fall auction last weekend for $330k. Nice car but lots of big iron available for that kind of dough!
