Hershey Weather.....

Here is todays Tropical Weather forecast:

juaquin

The current Hershey weather shows sunny on the beginning of the week, but keep watch that could change.

Keep in mind the H in this picture is heading straight for where I live.

This is still way out and a lot can change, keep safe.

Re: Hershey Weather.....

You can never trust the weather forecast, though we always hope to do so. The first thing I always pack for Hershey is a rainsuit. The second is dry socks. And, as we have all learned from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:

"“A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapors; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-boggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.”
ie bring a towel.

Saturday after 10 AM turned out very nice.:)

BTW, I'm still wondering who had the broken B/W overdrive for sale behind the building on Saturday?

Never been to Hershey but those that have, have told me it's pretty much over by Thursday anymore anyway.

I bought a mint replated front bumper for my 29 Tudor on a rainy Saturday morning, and it was only $50. Like a fool, I didn't buy the replated rears for the same price.

It's a roulette wheel -- the meteorologists know it but will never admit it.

Re: Hershey Weather.....

Speedway hats so funny I live in sunny Florida and really that's not too much off the mark . When one pops up in the Gulf of Mexico or any where near by, the local weather stations here and there are a bunch of them make your graph look pretty accurate, by the time it's near gone or dissipated the predictions do not look much differs that what you posted. But from what we are seeing here tonight the European predictors show that it's going to stay off the east coast nod become a fish storm. It always has amazed me that the euro is always the best mapping service for our weather and it seems to get it right about 95 % of the time. They are stating the wind will not be the factor for the east coast but the rain will still be a major factor.

I like this forecast much better. I am driving my sedan up on Thursday and am in the Driver Participation class for the show on Saturday.

Figure it will cold, rainy and windy. Then, if it's not, peel off the layers and celebrate? Either way, you are ready.

Fall Carlisle on Saturday was only for the truly devoted car nuts or other idiots. 47, windy, rainy, vendors gone early-still, I got 3 things on my list, clocked almost 6 miles of walking and had a great time-and still got to the Passage to India for their weekend lunch buffet-thereby cancelling the 5.6 miles of exercise plus whatever I log at Hershey!

Re: Hershey Weather.....

I remember one Hershey that had idyllic weather for several days, then dropped to toodamncold with nasty, endless drizzle. I was still young and stupid, so I trudged onward regardless. My parts wagon got heavier and heavier as it filled up with water. The functioning booths were few and far between, and all were staffed by tough, stringy old guys who seemed perfectly happy standing in 6 inches of icewater in soggy sweaters.
Suddenly I realized the correlation...ALL of the booths were selling Model T stuff!
AHA!! That's the explanation...Model T people have NO conception of comfort!
