VIN search There have been some posts with questions about this. I found a website that will check all state dmv's for VIN history.
You can check for free to see if they have information on the number and get a report for 6.99. I tried my model A Tudor serial # and it came up. I have no interest in the company. http://www.classiccardatabase.com/instaVIN.php John |
Re: VIN search Interesting. I wonder how far back the history report goes?

Re: VIN search The site tells me that it does not recognize the "vin" (serial number) on my '59 Corvette because it doesn't have the number of digits (17 I believe it said) in current-day VINs. Seemingly, not a whole lot of good to us old car folks with original serial numbers. DD

Re: VIN search I would think with today's alleged privacy laws that the info you get (if any) would be very limited.

Re: VIN search I don't think most folks here would find it particularly useful.
