How to use top straps

My roadster top came with two leather straps which seem to be used to wrap around the top when folded down. There are two footman loops on the front wood, but no apparent way to route the straps around the rear edge of the top.

Does any one have a picture or description of how this is supposed to work?

Thanks,

John

The leather strap goes through the footman loops on the wooden header and you should have a chrome plated hook bracket that threads onto the leather strap/ The hook bracket hooks under the top rest bracket that some folks call grab handles. Then you cinch up on the leather strap pull the top down tight . I hope this explains clearly enough for you.

That's great, I also thought those were grab handles for the rumble seat passenger.

I ran right out to the shop and they fit up just as you describe. Thanks for the advice.
