'51 BW OD trans
 

A buddy has a '51 BW OD trans for sale, what's a fair price for it. Want to make sure he and I come to fair price since he is friend. He says the solenoid is not good, but the transmission is good. Thank you Fordbarners

150-250 unless it's for a convertible.. Then more but only if you need that or what to flip it.

Thanks '52 for your response. What's a convertible one worth, and how do you tell. Don't know what it came out of.

I think the 51 Ford convertible OD trans was the same as the regular sedans. However the 49-50 Ford converts' OD trans placed the solenoid below the usual mount.....with a funny rocker type actuation. The rocker assy was covered by a pressed steel cover plate. Aside from this, the 49-50 Ford OD transmissions were the same.
