Remote Mounted Full Flow Oil Filter
 

Does anyone make such a thing?

Due to space constraints, the valve cover filter will not work.

Any suggestions?

Besides the valve cover style There are a couple that I know of. Vendors such as Speedway carry a basic remote bracket to hold a canister filter.

Ive used a 90* adapter by ford racing avail from summit with the valve cover type also try speedway motors for the Mr Gasket type remote mount

I use a "Taylor" filter mount modified for full flow and a right angle adapter from an early 6 cylinder Ford van. This adapter moves the filter to the right of the mount where the ones normally sold aftermarket move it to the left. I use a Mobil M1-301 filter as it is heavy duty and if you remove the label it is all black

Hey Carl,
I have same 'space constraints' problem. Haven't figured it out yet, but working on differing ideas. I ask this same question some time back, without much input and/or pictures. One seemingly good idea, was to hang the V8 type canister on the firewall and plumb to that. I'm not in like with the look of that...yet :), but it did the job for the guy who pictured it.
I'm wanting to use the '32 fuel pump that Henry provided very nicely. But, my header tubes and valve cover plate with oil filter both hang over the pump opening area. I'm looking at Tod's new cast iron header to solve the exhaust part, put still haven't solved the filter part. Here is a picture that may solve part of the 'remote' placement problem. If you look closely at my current B engine filter area, you MAY be able to see pump cover ? BTW , this pictured B valve cover is the cleanest solution to full oil pressure plumbing that I've ever seen. Just covers the darn pump hole !

If you figure a good solution, please let know what you did,eh ;)

CarlG, I decided to answer your question in the PM here in case someone else was wondering. My oil filter is a positive, full flow system. All oil is forced through the filter and then back in the oil channel above the pump and follows it's normal path from there. It involves brazing an additional boss on the side of the block and blocking off the top of the pump to force the oil out the opened up original boss, through the filter and back in the additional boss above the original. The bracket is just some 11 gauge sheet and an aluminum block. Ron W
