1940 Ford p/u window channel question

I've searched here, and didn't come up with info on door window channel.
I'm talking about the metal window channel that runs vertical-closes to the door hinges. They apparently were spot welded from the factory. Mine is missing all together. It is the one that houses the wide metal and felt channel, that comes in the window channel kit from Vintique.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the help.

Are both sides missing?

Re: 1940 Ford p/u window channel question

I don't think a picture would show it, if it were there (inside of door). The metal brace/bracket on the striker/door handle end of door is still in place, and accepts the new window felt channel fine.

What I need is the inside of door (hinge end) bracket/brace that accepts the new window felt and metal channel, that apparently was spot welded from the factory, but is missing all together on my door. I couldn't find a listing in Macs, Dennis Carpenter, or Bob Drake for this piece.
I believe I may end up fabricating something, but without an old piece as a sample it may end up being a true test of my inventiveness.

It will be the same on the other door. With the glass out you should be able to reverse engineer that piece from its mate on the other side. If push comes to shove my Tonner is up the road from you in Hansville. We can pull the access panel on the door in question so that you can eyeball it. PM me if you want to go that route.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
What I will end up doing is creating a bracket/support, apparently a new replacement isn't available. I will use the drivers door side as a sample, and for it's location points.
Thanks for the offer expavr.
