Remote oil filter plumbing

I'm getting ready to plumb a remote oil filter housing on my F1 with an 8ba. Since it is mounted on the firewall I want flexible lines. I modified the block for full flow and have a stock oil pump. There are a few different types of hoses and fittings available. I would like to know what hose /'fitting types you all have used for your oil systems.
Is 3/8 id hose sufficient?

i went to the local farm and ranch supply and bought a couple hydraulic hoses off the shelf that worked perfectly. cost 10 or 15 bucks. just match up the fittings. did this on my 52 f1.

You want to use (min.) 1/2" quality hose, designed/intended for oil, with high pressure and temperature ratings, available from Earl's, Aeroquip, Goodyear etc.
AN fittings are a good and popular choice, mine also. :)

I have used the "push lock " type hose tails with great success. Easy to fit at home . I think with 1/2" hose you will need a step down to go into the block and possibly your filter connections.

Push type works well for me with high pressure hose cloth covered.

Thanks all.
Looking around I found a push on fitting by aeroquip. This style will reduce the bulk and keep a simple look.

Aeroquip push-on, or "socketless", are my AN choice because their IDs are one of the largest, along with a very wide verity of styles to choose from.

Re: Remote oil filter plumbing

I used 3/8 and my cold oil pressure is lower than hot pressure indicating to me that the hose should be a little bigger. Pressure is measured after oil is returned to block.
